Sometimes perfect businesses are born from ingredients present in our daily lives.
That is the case for Climbin’ Rocks: a group of friends who enjoy climbing got together to climb a few meters here and there. Years went by and that group grew up.
From that group of friends to the curious ones who just wanted to give it a try, was a quick jump. Sessions were organised, the sport was displayed and horizons broadened: Climbin’ Rocks was born for all of those whose would like to try climbing and to challenge Portuguese people, as well as tourists visiting our country.
Climbin’ Rocks is — in addition to an adventure with friends, turned into a successful business — a sustainable project which showcases the best Portugal has to offer. Based in core values like safety, responsibility and mutual support, the company’s mission is to provide a different and memorable experience for all.

André Ferreira
André Ferreira is the man of a thousand trades. Whether teaching football keep-ups or the best way to perform the perfect crawl, his energy is infectious to anyone. A few years back it was easy to find him on stage giving music to thousands of people through his saxophone, as part of two bands. Years went by, those bands ended, but the love for music remained. The love for music, for the beach, for those trips which made an everlasting impression on him — even though he hates airplanes. But he goes. As long as he doesn’t have to eat alone, he goes.
He was born in 1987, in Cascais and since then he’s been leaving a mark on everyone he crosses paths with. He is one of the founding members of Climbin’ Rocks and we can easily find him climbing any mountain around.

Luís Soares
Luís is one of the founders of Climbin. He is driven by his many passions such as family, friends, mountain, sea, trails, open air and adventure.
Born in the 80s in Lisbon, he was from an early age blown away by its surrounding mountains and cliffs. Therefore, on a daily basis he may be found in this area having the time of his life doing challenging rock climbing routes, freediving or fishing.
Besides travelling around the world, he is always looking for new adventures and seeking to improve his knowledge in a wide range of subjects such as our planet’s sustainability, permaculture and sport.
He lives by the quote: “Today is a good day to have a great day, to follow your dreams, believe in yourself and remember to be amazing!”
